I have dabbled in watercolors for years, then discovered quilting. The combinations suggested are so varied and exciting. Hues and shades… the difference in gray shading versus black is subtle but puts a whole new take on “ mood” of quilt design. I love playing with the combinations.
A bit dented in the corner in transit, but itherwise great!
Very good, especially for those newer to colors. Would like to see hex colors on the cards and a few more instructions. Very good suggestions.
I tend to choose the same palettes over and over again, and I was getting bored. I understood basic color theory, but never bothered much with a color wheel because the color depictions on them are so garish and unappealing. Using the Palette Scout I quickly realized the patterns in my color choices and found strategic suggestions for livening them up. I definitely recommend using it with the tool kit because it adds so many other ways to explore color combinations, especially proportionality. I feel less daunted by taking on a dye project or shopping for weaving yarns because I will feel more confident about the colors I am combining and how I will use them!
Enjoy the simplicity of this, and had fun playing around with the different options for my project
