So helpful in selecting just the right color for that pop you were looking for.
Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the names, codes, and variations. I love having 18 steps on the color wheel. Subtle distinctions but not so many divisions that one goes crazy. I’ve been using my first box to land on some fresh palettes for textiles. Fun stuff.
When picking out colors for a fiber arts project, I would typically plan color combos digitally. The issue is you miss something when looking at colors on a screen. The Palette Scout has been awesome to work with because it is tangible and it interacts with real light. I can see what the colors look like under natural and synthetic lights which has helped greatly when picking out colors. I am brainstorming applications for this because I can feel the potential outside of planning my knitting & crochet projects. It could help me with outfit planning, paintings, interior design, etc.!
I am a yarn dyer and found these cards fun to play with. I found colors that go together I wouldn’t have thought of before. Good inspirational tool.
