This is a wonderful kit for anyone looking to learn the foundational skills for crocheting your own amigurumi. I had been wanting to learn for years but always felt intimidated by even beginner tutorials. What I love about this kit and the accompanying videos is that it walks you through almost every step of the process, with each stitch clearly explained and demonstrated. I also liked being able to pause or re-watch a video as many times as I wanted, which I certainly did for some of the trickier parts!
A few things to note: I'm in my 30s, and I found certain parts challenging - if you are getting this as a gift for a young person in your life, they may need some guidance depending on their age/ability. This also is not what I would call a "quick" project - don't expect to have it done in an afternoon! Neither of these things should be considered dealbreakers though, because by the end you will have an adorable amigurumi, as well as the confidence to tackle a new project all on your own!
